A Bursting Flame of Fun!

CHALLENGE DAY 1

your favorite picture of yourself and one interesting fact for every year you’ve been alive

This may not be my favorite picture but it is my happiest.

anyhoo, those things, one for each year

1 - my mother named me hannah because she already named the cat abagail.
2 - our new house came with a donkey
3 - Emma showed up. Which is good cause I’m pretty sure if I had gotten a brother I would have firmly stood by my vow to throw that thing out the window.
4 - this stupid kid Ryan threw a book at my head, NOT COOL. Also I watched a hoarde of chickens peck another chicken to death.
5 - My dad finally found a job but it’s in cambridge so he only lives with us on the weekend. It really sucked to go from having my dad with me every day of my whole life to barely having him at all for a whole year. it was a sad time and totally changed my demeanor as a little kid.
6 - we moved to Hudson MA and I was TERRIFIED that this made me a much hated flat lander.
7-I got lyme disease. THIS SUCK SO MUCH! Luckily we caught it before it completely destroy my body. woohoo
8 - I read my first really important book, The Golden Compass, it completely determines the way I experience/appreciate the world.  I realized later that this was kind of a weird book for an 8 year old but I’d already read every American Girl book at least 5 times so really what else was I to do?
9 - We moved to Bellingham, I get my own bed for the first time. Also i go to my cousins dance recital and a bunch of ten year olds dancing to Madonna’s version of American Pie moves me so deeply that I cry every day until my mom signs me up for classes. This is still a thing i do, the dancing, not the crying. Thanks Madonna.
10 - I went to my first real audition, my cousin was supposed to go too but she bails so it’s just me and my mom and I’m so nervous I cry until I almost vomit, my mom says we can go, I really really don’t have to stay, she’s worried everyone will think she’s a terrible stage mom who is forcing me to stay but in fact it is me who insists and stays and eventually calms down enough to sing, i don’t know what but man did I sing it. I get cast and 10 years I’ve been in over 40 different shows. Also I got my first period on february 22nd. THIS SUCKS SO MUCH, but not as much as lyme disease.  
11 - I watched my mom give birth to my baby brother. This is wonderful.
12- I got cast as dorothy in the wizard of oz. THIS IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN LYME DISEASE! 
13 - Bethy and I fell madly in girlfriend love. My mom asked if we were going to be lesbians together which was a dumb but totally valid question but really we are just soulmates. Also I was kissed for the very first time (and not by bethy)
14 - I threw a banana at my mother, and 20% of everything I said to her was probably a lie. This was not a good year for us.
15 - Everyone I love most in the world moved away to start grown up lives so in response to this and my crippling miserable lonliness i lost my virginity for the hell of it to a boy who is pretty lame but thinks I am the BOMB. I use this to my advantage A LOT. This year sucked.
16 - Because i was so miserable with my life I decided the best way to fix that was to go to a fancy college for smart but emotionally unbalanced teens (they don’t tell you that part in the brochures). so I do that.
17 - because the thing i picked to fix my life is the most expensive thing in the world and also makes me catch a little bit of the crazy I leave after a year and instead I become a full time nanny for an infant in Boston. This is a much calmer year.
18 - I got my license but it takes two times. I didn’t go to drivers ed because it was so expensive and also i am lazy PLUS I was 18 so I didn’t technically have to have it. But then i failed my first drivers test because I didn’t know the stupid hand signals, and I apparently made a “dangerous manuever” which was in no way my fault. The second test goes much better.
19 - after trying for years to pull off being really bad ass by rocking a super short hair do I finally resign myself to knowing that it just is not working and start growing out my curley locks.
